We suppose the question here could well be ‘How long is a piece of string?’ Your earnings will be what you want them to be.
First off, all earnings are uncapped so if you sell £200,000 worth of our services then you will (assuming the rate is 30%) earn £60,000 in commissions. At this level of sales you will of course be a premier consultant since clearly your monthly turnover would have been greater than the £6,500 required for ‘free’ premier consultancy status.
But assuming that you have more modest goals and would like to earn say £25,000 per year (based on a turnover of say £120,000) here’s a typical and quite realistic scenario.
- You sign up as a premier consultant in order to receive the higher commissions.
- This means that your earnings will be between 12-30% (rather than 10-25%)
- Over the course of each 3 months you aim to sell:

Bear in mind that this is really only scratching the surface and based on there being 13 weeks per quarter then to achieve annual earnings of £27,300 (being £6,825 x 4) you would only need to bring in around 52 jobs in 3 months (ie around 4 a week or less than 1 per day) and source 7-8 commercial gas / electricity savings leads a week simply by asking around.
The question is. Have you got the drive to get out, talk to a few business people, bringing them savings and low cost ways to promote their businesses and at the same time earning yourself around £500-£600 week. This may not be a fortune, and in rosier times you could well have earned a lot more – but it is clearly better than sitting at home, doing nothing and feeling nostalgic for the old days. The income that you can potentially earn as an independent regional consultant could well make the difference between holding onto or, losing your home, if you are in the position of having a fairly large mortgage to take care of – and currently no way of meeting it.
